Sujatha was an Indian actress. She has given performances in various languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. Most of her roles show her as an ideal woman or a working woman who bears the responsibility of her house or as someone who bring the change in the society.

She was born on 10 December 1952 in Galle, Sri Lanka.

Her parents were Malayalis. While she was in Sri Lanka, she used to participate in school plays.
