My connection to Kilmarnock and Loudoun runs deep. I was born and raised here, attending Newmilns primary school and then Loudoun Academy. My educational journey led me to Glasgow University, where I earned an Honours degree in Civil Engineering.

I spent over two decades working in the engineering sector, both in the private and public sectors, with my most recent role being a Principal Engineer.

Beyond my professional life and political commitments, I have a range of interests that keep me grounded.

I'm an avid supporter of Kilmarnock Football Club, and I make it a point to attend matches regularly with my two sons, Kyle and Dylan. I'm also a fan of the great outdoors, often taking long walks with my wife Cyndi. Camping and cooking are two of my favourite pastimes, and when it comes to music, I have a soft spot for bands like The Clash, Sex Pistols, Jesus and Mary Chain, and 80s/early 90s music.
